油枕的侧面装有油位计,可以监视油位的变化。常用的油位计有以下指针式和浮球式等类型。

1、指针式油位计上面一般有-30℃、+20℃、+40℃三个正常油位线,根据这三个标志可以判断是否需要加油和放油;标上+40℃表示安装地点变压器在环境高温度为+40℃时满载运行中油位的高限额线,油位不得超过此线, 如果在停止状态下油温为+20°,此时检查油位计的油面应不高于+20°的标志。-30℃表示环境为-30℃时空载变压器的低油位线,不得低于此线,若油位过低,应加油。

2、浮标式油位计工作原理是采用悬浮的原理,油位计里面有个浮标, 当油面到浮标时则有一个标志,例如绿色,未到有另外一标志, 例如红色。浮球式油位计随油位的变化,浮球上下变化。
